Hey everyone! I haven't posted for more than a month! Sheesh, sorry. I redesigned my page and I think it looks a bit more 2010. What do you think? I'm not really prepared for this post but I wanted to let you all know that I'm still alive, still happy, and still progressing! Also, I do want to talk a little about the hot topic of the day-- Facebook. Here goes:
As you may know, the creators of Facebook recently put more options for privacy in the hands of their users. We are now able to customize who can see information about you, your photo albums, your posts, etc. I took full advantage of this and made my profile really private. I feel like a lot of people judge their "Facebook friends" by their photos, wall conversations, video links, etc. and I wanted to put a stop to that when it came to me. So I deleted a lot of "friends" and made much of what I have on my profile private. Each post, status update, and photo album are open to view for certain people and are hidden from others. I understand that some people may be offended by this decision and to them I say "It doesn't matter." I judge my relationships with people by many things, but definitely not by my connection to them on Facebook and I hope that they will reciprocate that judgment (or lack thereof). So the point is this: If you want to know what is going on in my life, don't try to find out by looking at my photos on Facebook or reading over my recent wall-posts but ASK ME! Call me, email me, text me, even send me a message over Facebook, but please communicate with me! I'm sorry that it may be more inconvenient than checking up on my profile, but I think it's worth it. Please let me know what you all think about this! Am I too private on Facebook? Do you feel like I should place more emphasis on Facebook relationships? Have I changed your mind about something? Are you reading my blog? I will update again soon, don't worry. Have a great day!

I need your email so I can add you to my "approved" readers list. :)
By the way, I thoroughly approve of your new layout. Much more 2010 and less 2001. ;)

i like the layout, but you might consider making the screen behind the text a little bit darker... it seems a little hard to read.
as for fb, i am myself very seriously considering quitting it all together. i'm hardly ever on it, and even with all the privacy settings at full, i don't like the amount of info that i'm releasing. i've gone through and purged my friends lists several times.
i feel like, though i do like that i can stay in very loose contact with people i'd like to keep track of, that it encourages cyber-stalking of various forms, and comparisons between ourselves and others, and so on. not helpful stuff.
what i will probably end up doing is creating a new profile, with no personal info, and then transferring all the friends i actually want to keep over to that profile and deleting my old one. that way i can stay in touch with people whom i have no other way to contact, but i don't feel obligated to spend time on it, and my privacy is secure.
so i was in the process of cyber stalking my new friend... and got a not so subtle reprimand:) Hey scott yes i am reading your blog this fine Tuesday evening.
I best be on your special list, Mr. Sessions!
;)
I love your blogs.
