I'm sitting on a couch in a friend's apartment in Rohnert Park, CA-- home of Sonoma State University. The door is open and the sounds remind me of the bird building at Hogle Zoo. The sun is warming through the window and the air is clear and clean. It's March 15th somewhere, but definitely not here. This is when I remember:
There is something special about California.
