State of the Human

Well hey! I know it's been foreeeeeeever since I've updated my blog. In fact, it's been exactly one year and four months. I wrote about my cat last time (in case you forgot).

I've recently been admonished* that I ought to spend more time writing. People enjoy my voice. I enjoy my voice. Writing is a form of expression that comes more naturally to me than others and, by gum, I ought to develop it! I just reacquainted myself with some previous entries and... I love myself. I'm really funny. There are some blog posts I'm wildly entertained by. There are also some entries that I'm ashamed of... I'll let you guess which ones those are.

I imagine y'all want to know a little about my life before we return to regularly scheduled observations and trains of thought. So here goes:

State of the Human (Scott)

AGE: Scott is currently 22 years old.

HEALTH: Scott's pretty darn healthy, despite dealing with some weird shit last semester.

EMOTIONS: He has them. Lots of them.

EDUCATION: He's still attending university and has one semester left (!). He'll be student-teaching all next semester in 3rd and 6th grades. This might eat up his life, so he won't guarantee to blog very often (though he really hopes he can!).

HOLIDAYS: Scott enjoyed spending Christmas with his family! He was able to see many friends while he visited the Salt Lake area for a couple weeks. He was reminded how much he loves living in a city. He's a BIG fan of the train, especially the (relatively) new Red Line that goes into West Jordan, and the new Frontrunner Train that travels between Provo and Salt Lake City.

ROMANCE: More on this later**.

EMPLOYMENT: Scott is unemployed but will be volunteering fulltime as a student teacher starting on Jan. 7th (see EDUCATION). He is also applying for an exciting job opportunity that will start in the summer, but he's afraid to jinx it by talking about it online. Scott's also been reconsidering his plan to become an elementary education teacher, but that will be discussed more in the future.

So that's that. Here are a few snapshots of my recent life that I probably told you about. Rather, I would've told you about if you CALLED ME MORE OFTEN***.

I voted!

I went to a Dinosaur Museum!

I saw a great musical by an innovative new production company!

I learned how to make hula hoops!

I'm making a bead curtain out of paper beads (I made those beads!)!

I've been growing a beard!

I love TRAX!

I LOVE Snapchat! (Add me - scottssions)

I'm a cat taxi!

So there you have it. Thanks for reading! As always-- comment maybe, call me maybe, text me maybe, tweet me maybe, email me maybe, talk at my face maybe.

PS I checked my page views just barely (before posting this), and there were 34 views in the last month and 20 in the last week. You guys are nuts.

*By the universe, duh. Who else?
**Keep 'em coming back for more.
***So I think writing things in all caps is funny now. Sorry.
